The Free Market Fellowship

The Free Market Fellowship Program

About the Program

The Free Market Fellowship Program seeks to examine the essential foundations of economic freedom such as rule of law, separation of powers, property rights, free trade, patent protections, and limited government. Important subtopics include understanding the role of each branch of government in ensuring checks and balances, analyzing the economic and social benefits of property rights, exploring the mechanisms for enforcing patent protections, and evaluating the impact of trade agreements on global commerce. Through comprehensive exploration of these topics, participants will develop a deep understanding of the principles underpinning free market economics and their significance in fostering prosperity, innovation, and individual liberty.

This academic-style bootcamp is set to be held in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria from May 24-25, 2024. This fellowship will feature Free Market Advocates, with complimentary guest lectures by scholars from other institutions as appropriate.

What You’ll Learn

Participants will be offered an intense program of lectures, roundtable discussions, interactive case studies, and panel discussions led by experts and complemented by scholars from other academic and policy institutions. Topics will vary from year to year but will relate to the broad area of economics and economic growth.
